Engineered Biology. Dual-Market Impact 〰️

Nyxid Biosystems is a synthetic biology company developing programmable genetic platforms to transform aquatic invertebrates - ranging from premium ornamental genetics to agricultural bio-factories

Here to bypass the bottlenecks of traditional aquaculture

Nyxid Biosystems bridges the gap between advanced crustacean genetics and commercial scalability. By leveraging proprietary CRISPR-Cas nuclease systems and high-throughput nanocarrier delivery, we are bypassing the limitations of traditional selective breeding and destructive industrial processing.

Our Dual-Phase approach allows us to rapidly prototype and commercialize stable genetic traits in model organisms, generating immediate value while simultaneously de-risking our massive agricultural scale-up.

The Pipeline

Phase I: Advanced Ornamental Genetics

Targeting the $6.5 Billion ornamental aquatics market, Nyxid is engineering stable, multi-chromatic biofluorescent dwarf shrimp. These lines provide a premium alternative to the industry’s outdated artificial dye injections serving as our immediate commercial revenue engine. Crucially, this rapid breeding model organism acts as our foundational in-vitro proof of concept. This allows us to rapidly prototype genetic traits in a fast-breeding model organism to fund our next phase By directly validating our genetic delivery mechanisms and site targeting here first, we rapidly de-risk the core genetic technology required for our massive Phase II agricultural biomanufacturing scale- up.

Phase II: Agricultural Biomanufacturing

Nyxid is vertically integrating the entire $60+ Billion global supply chain - from Post-Larvae hatcheries and aquaculture farms to food processors and commercial agriculture. We engineer Pacific White Shrimp with a pH-responsive motif, coupled with targeted MIH suppression and ionic pathway upregulation to accelerate growth yields. Supported by our proprietary high-bioavailability feed, this platform maximizes harvestable biomass for shrimp farmers. Ultimately the genetically engineered exoskeletons allow for a green extraction of premium Chitooligosaccharides (COS). Thus eliminating toxic waste byproducts and transforming shell waste into high-value lipo-chitooligosaccharides (LCO) seed coatings for commercial crop producers
